Reikoh Fujisawa, LCAT, ATR-BC

When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.

Reikoh is a board certified art therapist and a state licensed creative arts therapist in NY. A native of Japan, she graduated from New York University with a master's degree in Art Therapy and has been in the field for more than 15 years.

 

She received training in Psychoanalytic Theory and its applicaition from the British Object Relations Institute, in Cognitive Therapy from the Beck Institute, and in Family Therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family.

 

She worked at New York Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center, St. Luke's Mount Sinai Hospital Center, Montefiore Medical Center, Elmhurst Hospital Center, and a community center providing art therapy, psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. 

She gives annual lectures to graduate students at Teachers College, Columbia University. She has also given presentations to other mental health professionals and spoken at national conferences about the application of art therapy. 

She has facilitated numerous workshops and has published articles regarding self-improvement, self-care and familial relationship improvement through art therapy. 

She excels in assisting with team buidlding and has given organizational workshops to improve working environments.

In addition, Reikoh is a Yoga instructor, integrating various spiritual and mind-body perspectives into her work. With many drawers to access one's soul, she assists people of all conditions and backgrounds to unleash their profound creativity within and joy.

She loves the poetry of Rumi and is inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and Eckhart Tolle.
